Commission Investigator – CS (Requisition No. 845164) – State of Florida, Commission on Offender Review,

This professional role involves conducting clemency investigations for the Florida Commission on Offender Review and the Executive Board of Clemency, providing thorough and confidential insights into cases.

• Conduct comprehensive confidential clemency investigations for applicants seeking various types of clemency (firearm authority, pardon, sentence commutation, fines and forfeitures remission, restoration of civil rights).
• Prepare investigations reviewed by the Florida Commission on Offender Review prior to submission to the Board of Executive Clemency, providing a broad picture of the applicant’s history and activities.
• Conduct Restoration of Civil Rights investigations without hearing, verifying status of pecuniary penalties, restitution, and eligibility under the Rules of Executive Clemency.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or four years equivalent work experience can substitute.
• Experience in criminal justice preferred.

• Knowledge of the criminal justice system.
• Skills in conducting investigations, interviews, and using personal computers.
• Ability to work independently and under stressful conditions, prioritize and complete assignments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships.
