This open competitive advertisement is for a SES (Selected Exempt Service) position located at Santa Rosa Correctional Institution in the Classification Department. The purpose of this position is to ensure accurate calculation and verification of inmate release dates, maintain and manage inmate records, prepare necessary legal and release documentation, supervise data entry staff, and coordinate with agencies to uphold legal compliance and facilitate smooth inmate release and transfers.

This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

Job duties include verifying and manually calculating tentative release dates, communicating with relevant agencies to resolve any discrepancies, leading the preparation of release documents, verifying final release dates, ensuring all necessary authorizations and records are perfectly in order for inmate release, maintaining accurate data entry in the inmate information system, assisting in training new employees, supervising data entry staff, managing the daily maintenance of inmate records, preparing affidavits, testifying in court, coordinating inter-state detainer actions, and supervising the transfer of inmate files.

Requirements include a High School diploma or its equivalent. Preference will be given to applicants with supervisory skills, experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, or Power Point, experience auditing, analyzing, and/or interpreting data, and familiarity with sentence structure.
