We are currently seeking a full‑time Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Santa Rosa Correctional Institution located in Milton, Florida.

Monday
- Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm with rotating weekends.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES A BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN PSYCHOLOGY, SOCIAL WORK, OR A CLOSELY RELATED FIELD.

• Participate in weekly multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings and implement interventions for patients in a correctional mental health/healthcare setting.
• Supervise patients and provide formal education in routine activities of daily living (hygiene, eating, recreation, etc.).
• Provide care and activities programming as well as social rehabilitation and leisure activities.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of records pertaining to patient mental health.
• Schedule, set up, operate and supervise telepsychiatry appointments.

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work/Sciences, Therapeutic Recreation, or related field.
• Two years or more of experience providing activities programming for patients who have a serious mental illness preferred.
• Competencies with Excel sufficient to create, maintain, and update scheduling databases.
• Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification or the ability to obtain.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
