Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, and your ability to establish retailer relationships while being the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion you may work with other brands in the stores you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Your starting hourly pay rate will be 15.00– 17.00 depending on your skills and experience.
- Paid training is provided through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom sessions.

- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours are between 6–10 hours.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
- Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support is required.
You’ll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The position consists of three major components:
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Technology is critical for communication with supervisors, reporting, and completing required merchandising surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store staff, management, and customers is essential. - Holiday support:
During seasonal demand around holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you can expect additional days and extended hours. On some holidays, you may be required to work on the holiday itself, including weekends. - Department resets:
You may participate in installations, building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Typically, you will be notified two weeks in advance. These tasks may include evenings or weekends. - One‑team vision:
As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you are part of a network that supports other team members across territories.
This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and urgency. Working on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, you must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds daily and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You must kneel, squat, walk, stand, and may be required to climb stairs and stepladders.
BasicQualifications
- You are at least 18 years of age.
- You can read, write, and understand English.
- You are able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- You can operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- You have access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
- You have reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
