Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per year

A bit about us:

A well‑established construction organization is seeking a hands‑on Controller to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations and provide financial leadership to executive management. This role blends technical accounting expertise with operational partnership, supporting growth across multiple business units in a fast‑paced construction environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead month‑end and year‑end close, financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Own budgeting, forecasting, KPI development, and executive financial reporting
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, job cost accounting, intercompany activity, and project billing
• Prepare WIP schedules, project profitability analysis, and support operational review meetings
• Maintain internal controls, compliance, cash flow monitoring, and coordination with external accountants and auditors
• Serve as the owner of the accounting and ERP systems, driving process improvements, reporting tools, and team training
• Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, employee records, onboarding support, HR compliance, and policy maintenance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (advanced degree or HR exposure a plus)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Construction industry experience required
• Strong knowledge of job cost accounting, payroll, AP/AR, and financial reporting
