School of Business and Computer Science (General Pool)

Curry College has ongoing needs for part‑time faculty to teach inour School of Business and Computer Science. The School offersundergraduate majors, minors or concentrations in Accounting,Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Analytics,Entrepreneurship/Small Business, Finance, Human Resources,Management Information Systems, Marketing, Public Relations,Residential Property Management, and Sport & Recreation Management. The School also offers a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accounting.

Coursedescriptions for each discipline can be viewed in the College Catalog which can be reviewed ry.edu/catalog.

The days, hours, delivery modality and location vary depending uponthe course needed and the student population that the course is intended to primarily serve. The vast majority of School of Business and Computer Science offerings are delivered throughin-person instruction and would require that successful candidate shave the ability to teach in-person at either the Milton,Massachusetts or Plymouth, Massachusetts campuses.

Part‑time faculty are responsible for planning and presenting the material assigned for their courses; establishing specific requirements and informing students of the requirements; gradingexaminations and projects; submitting grades and early alerts in atimely fashion; explaining grades to students; and utilizing Canvasas the learning management system. Part‑time faculty are expected to be available to interact electronically with students outside the classroom as well as to hold requisite office hours.

Job Requirements
  • A minimum of a Master's Degree in a relevant discipline is required for classroom teaching.
  • A terminal degree in a relevant discipline is preferred for those teaching at the graduate level.
  • Significantand relevant professional experience in a relevant discipline maybe substituted for candidates who have earned degrees fromdisciplines not related to those offered by Curry College's Schoolof Business and Computer Science.
  • Prior teaching experience preferred.
Salary

$3,735 per 3 credit course

Eligibility for promotion to Lecturer and anincreased rate of compensation are negotiated between the Collegeand the Curry College AAUP.
