Investment Operations Analyst

We are seeking an Investment Operations Analyst for a leading investment management firm located in Milton, MA. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience reconciling holdings and transactions across internal systems and custodian banks. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate portfolio accounting, reconciling securities and transactions, resolving discrepancies with custodians and vendors, and collaborating with internal teams. This is a contract position offering $33–$37/hour with a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities
  • Enter and validate cash transactions within the portfolio accounting system.
  • Maintain securities data and pricing to ensure accurate security characteristics and performance reporting.
  • Prepare routine and customized reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor trade workflows and coordinate with trading desks and counter parties on settlement details.
  • Ensure accurate and timely integration of trade data into the accounting system and communication with custodians.
  • Perform timely reconciliations of holdings and transactions with custodian banks.
  • Document, track, and resolve discrepancies accurately and efficiently.
  • Generate reconciliation reports across multiple systems for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in investment management, fund accounting, or portfolio accounting.
  • At least 2 years of experience performing reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with fixed income and equity securities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage a high volume of correspondence.
