Milton Town School District seeks a skilled Special Needs Programming Specialist to join our dynamic, fast-paced, student-centered high school-level teams. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and the ability to demonstrate the required competencies, including delivering instruction to students with intensive needs, speech and language impairment, working knowledge of assistive technology devices, augmentative communication approaches, and collaboration within a fast-paced setting.

The position supports students in classroom, workplace, and community settings.

The hours are 6.5 hours per day, 32.5 hours per week. Benefits include health insurance, dental, and life insurance.

Milton Town School District seeks a skilled Special Needs Programming Specialist to join our dynamic, fast-paced, student-centered high school-level teams.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s level or ability to effectively demonstrate the required competencies. Experience delivering instruction to students with intensive needs and/or speech and language impairment. Must demonstrate competencies after receiving formal training. Must demonstrate the ability to attain a working knowledge of assistive technology devices and augmentative communication approaches. Ability to work well as a team member and with students in an active, fast-paced setting.

The ability and willingness to support students both in the classroom, in the workplace, and in the community is essential.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience delivering instruction to students with intensive needs and/or speech and language impairment
  • Ability to attain a working knowledge of assistive technology devices and augmentative communication approaches
  • Highly Qualified status
  • At least one year of relevant experience (preferred)
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
