High School Library Assistant

Job Description

Milton Town School District is seeking a full‑time High School Library Assistant. The candidate will assist students and faculty in using the library‑media center, maintain order, and create a safe and welcoming environment that supports the needs of our school community.

• Assist students and faculty with library‑media center use.
• Maintain order in the center, including selection and organization of books, materials, and equipment.
• Create a safe and welcoming environment for all school community members.

• Organized and detail‑oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum of high‑school education; college graduate preferred.
• School library experience preferred; computer and interpersonal skills essential.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students aged 4 to 18 years old.
• Must be available to work until 4:00 PM on school days.

Health insurance, dental and life insurance. Pay range $20.80 to $23.80 (or higher) based on experience and education level.
