Seeking a full time Experienced Ultrasonographer to join a great team in Vermont!
2 schedules options are available : week days or weekends
-weekday schedule: hours generally vary between 7am - 5pm with variable weekend and on call coverage.
-weekend schedule: primarily Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7am - 7pm with variable on call coverage.
Operates sonography equipment to produce images under the supervision of the Radiologist following established protocols and procedures.
PRE-REQUISITES:
Education: Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited program. Bachelors degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is preferred.
Certification: Active Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer from the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), or board eligible. Specialty registration in at least one of the following specialties:
Abdomen (AB), Breast (BR), Obstetrics (OB), or Vascular Technology (VT) is required within 6 months of hire. Current BLS certification is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Incorporates appropriate assessment and intervention skills in all diagnostic sonography examinations according to American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines including
Adapts procedures according to protocol to meet the individual needs of the patient, the provider and the situation
Accurately differentiates between normal and abnormal findings
Communicates with patients, team members, and management in an accurate and timely manner evidenced by:
Talks with and listens to patients/team members
Reports preliminary interpretation with comparative results to the appropriate provider(s)
Complete timely clinical documentation
Uses all electronic systems to appropriately manage the patient experience
