We are seeking a talented welder / fabricator to support the production of our competition vehicles at Vermont Sports Car.

Our modern facility is located in the northern part of the state, just outside of Burlington, Vermont.
Responsibilities- Fabricate components using various equipment to clean, cut, bend, tack, and weld parts ranging from simple weldments to complex assemblies; select appropriate fabrication methods based on available resources.
- Meet daily production and quality demands.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to develop weld/fabrication support documentation and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry welding and fabrication standards.
- Set up and maintain work area, and verify materials and tooling needed for production.
- Comply with health, safety (including OSHA) and environmental procedures, and maintain a clean work area.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for fabricated components.
- Perform other duties as needed to support VSC s various racing programs.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Current welding certification (or the ability to achieve it within 3 months).
- Ability to operate various welding and fabrication equipment and tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Knowledge of GD&T is a plus.
- Strong familiarity with the use of precision measurement equipment used in production.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant welding and fabrication experience.
- Proven ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, often-changing environment with high initiative and flexibility.
- Proven ability to be a team player with high integrity.
- Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus as required.
