Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description

Robert Half is partnering with a Milwaukee area client in the recruiting for an AR Specialist to join their accounting and finance team due to growth! In this role, you will handle essential accounting and administrative duties, including managing customer accounts, processing invoices, and ensuring timely collections. You will also collaborate closely with Operations and Sales teams to support accurate billing and account reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee assigned customer accounts, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and payment collection.

- Process and apply cash payments efficiently to maintain up-to-date account records.

- Monitor outstanding balances and execute proactive collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts.

- Collaborate with Operations and Sales departments to address account discrepancies and resolve customer inquiries.

- Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable activities and performance metrics.

- Conduct thorough reviews of customer contracts to ensure compliance with billing agreements.

- Maintain detailed and organized records of all transactions and communications related to accounts receivable.

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of accounts receivable operations.

- Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards in all receivable activities.

Requirements

- Proven experience in accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.

- Strong knowledge of cash applications and commercial collections processes.

- Proficiency in managing billing functions and customer account reviews.

- Excellent organizational and communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and customers.

- Familiarity with accounting software and tools commonly used in accounts receivable.

- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
