Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist (42173)

Our client is an organization in the Ozaukee County looking for an AP/AR Specialist
. Our client is looking for someone with strong administrative skills, high attention to details and highly motivated.

The salary range for this position is $55k-65k.

The AP/AR Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Manage AP inbox, responding to emails daily.
  • Process invoices daily, including detailed invoice matching and verification.
  • Support weekly check runs, including preparing and cutting checks.
  • Maintain vendor files, process new vendor setup requests, and respond to statement inquiries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment processing to keep accounts current.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Manage AR inbox and process remittances in a highly manual environment.
  • Assist with cash application based on shared bank information.
  • Maintain accurate customer accounts and post transactions.
  • Prepare and review aging reports as time allows and assist with follow‑up on outstanding balances.
  • Respond to customer payment inquiries and documentation requests.
General Accounting & Administrative Support
  • Enter financial transactions accurately into the ERP system.
  • Upload general ledger entries and assist with reconciliations, including fixed assets.
  • Support additional clerical and accounting tasks as needed.
  • Assist with new division setup and operational support.
  • Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives to increase efficiency within AP/AR functions.
  • Handle a high volume of internal and external requests, including statements and documentation needs.

The AP/AR Specialist will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Related experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self‑motivated
