We’re partnering with a local non-profit in Milwaukee to find an interim
Accountant to join their team for the next 6-8 weeks
. We’re seeking at least five years of prior accounting experience and a degree in Accounting is desired.
There is also a possibility of temp to hire if desired. This position is full-time hours, parking included, and 100% in the office. Please apply for immediate consideration.

Responsibilities
  • Manage Accounts Payable (AP) processing, including coding, approvals, and vendor payments.
  • Process Payroll through Paylocity, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations.
  • Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger using Blackbaud Financial Edge.
  • Prepare and post journal entries for month‑end and year‑end close.
  • Complete bank and account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Perform monthly allocations and track expenses across departments or programs.
  • Support Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including invoicing and collections as needed.
  • Assist with other accounting tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field desired.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; nonprofit or multi‑entity experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and month‑end close processes.
  • Hands‑on experience with Paylocity and Blackbaud Financial Edge preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting/reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
