Accounts Payable Specialist

Extension is seeking an Accounts Payable Representative for a contract opportunity with one of our nonprofit clients in Milwaukee, WI.

• Review, process, and enter invoices into the accounts payable system
• Manage incoming mail, vendor invoices, and payment documentation
• Process weekly accounts payable check runs and distribute payments
• Respond to vendor and internal staff inquiries regarding payment status
• Set up new vendors, maintain records, and collect required documentation
• Assist with year-end 1099 preparation and additional accounting projects
• Support general mail distribution and administrative tasks as needed

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with accounting software preferred

• $22/hour
