Staff Accountant; AR

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical accounting professional to support Accounts Receivable operations within a fast-paced, project-based environment. This role goes beyond traditional AR responsibilities and will partner closely with operations, project teams, and leadership to support project financial tracking, collections, profitability analysis, and overall accounting functions.

The ideal candidate will have strong Accounts Receivable experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple client or project accounts simultaneously while working cross-functionally across departments.

• Manage Accounts Receivable processes for assigned client accounts and projects
• Handle collections activities, payment follow-up, and account reconciliation
• Monitor project financials and support ongoing profitability analysis
• Prepare monthly reporting related to project and client profitability
• Partner with project managers, operations teams, and leadership to ensure accurate financial tracking
• Participate in internal and client-facing meetings related to project financial status
• Support financial planning and analysis initiatives as needed
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure timely processing of transactions
• Assist with identifying process improvements and operational efficiencies

• 3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience
• Experience working within a project-based accounting environment
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles
• Experience with collections management and payment tracking
• Financial analysis and reporting experience
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with multiple departments and stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
