Overview

We’re partnering with a mission-driven organization to add a Senior Accountant to a collaborative finance team. This role offers a blend of hands‑on accounting, financial oversight, and cross‑functional partnership supporting a portfolio of operational projects.

This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys owning financials end‑to‑end, working through complexity, and contributing to process improvements in a team‑oriented environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage core accounting activities including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly close processes for assigned areas
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
  • Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance
  • Maintain accuracy of the general ledger and ensure alignment with accounting standards
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and improve financial visibility
  • Support and/or lead audit‑related activities, including preparation of schedules and documentation
  • Assist with cash management and balance sheet oversight
  • Contribute to process improvements and internal controls
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities as needed
What They’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA/eligibility is a plus
  • 2+ years of accounting experience (public or industry)
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience with account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation
  • Exposure to audit (public accounting or industry) preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with financial systems
  • Ability to analyze issues, think critically, and communicate clearly
  • Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
