We’re partnering with a mission-driven organization to add a Senior Accountant to a collaborative finance team. This role offers a blend of hands‑on accounting, financial oversight, and cross‑functional partnership supporting a portfolio of operational projects.
This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys owning financials end‑to‑end, working through complexity, and contributing to process improvements in a team‑oriented environment.
What You’ll Do- Manage core accounting activities including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Oversee monthly and quarterly close processes for assigned areas
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance
- Maintain accuracy of the general ledger and ensure alignment with accounting standards
- Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and improve financial visibility
- Support and/or lead audit‑related activities, including preparation of schedules and documentation
- Assist with cash management and balance sheet oversight
- Contribute to process improvements and internal controls
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA/eligibility is a plus
- 2+ years of accounting experience (public or industry)
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation
- Exposure to audit (public accounting or industry) preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with financial systems
- Ability to analyze issues, think critically, and communicate clearly
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
