Payroll Manager

Salary: $125,000 - $135,000 + Bonus

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day payroll operations for a large, multi-state and multi-location employee population, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Manage payroll compliance, tax requirements, wage and hour regulations, audits, reconciliations, and year-end reporting.
  • Lead and develop the payroll team while partnering closely with HR, Finance, Benefits, and other business leaders.
  • Drive payroll system enhancements, process improvements, automation, and standardization to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Serve as the payroll subject matter expert and provide guidance on payroll policies, reporting, compliance, and complex employee payroll issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including experience managing a payroll team or large-scale payroll operation.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll, payroll tax compliance, wage and hour regulations, and payroll systems.
  • Experience with payroll system implementations, process improvement, automation, and working in a complex or manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
