Managing Director & Partner at Truity Partners, Mother of 3, Sports Enthusiast, Aspiring Disney Singer, CPAOur client is an organization in the greater Milwaukee area looking for a Corporate Controller. This company is looking for someone with 15+ years of accounting experience, strong organizational skills, and strategic leadership experience.
The Corporate Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP, IFRS, or other applicable standards.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial reporting integrity.
- Manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Coordinate and manage external audits and tax compliance requirements.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws and regulations.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional development.
- Implement and optimize financial systems, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor cash flow, investments, and financial risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with other departments to drive financial efficiency and cost-saving initiatives.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Other duties as needed.
The Corporate Controller will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field
- 15+ years of accounting experience.
- Large, complex multi-location and global company experience required.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
