Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $28.98–$30.00 per hour
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations for multiple facilities. This contract opportunity is ideal for an organized accounting professional who enjoys maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end activities.
What You’ll Do- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation for multiple operating facilities.
- Process and review routine accounting transactions, including invoices, payments, and account activity.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Reconcile bank, general ledger, and other balance sheet accounts and research outstanding discrepancies.
- Prepare and enter routine journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Assist with monthly financial close by reviewing account balances and ensuring transactions are recorded accurately.
- Maintain organized files and supporting documentation for accounting records.
- Assist with financial reporting and provide information for internal and external audits.
- Research and resolve discrepancies in financial records and follow up on outstanding items.
- Enter, update, and verify financial data using automated accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Handle confidential financial and employee information appropriately.
- Respond to accounting questions and assist with ad hoc finance projects as needed.
- Work independently while collaborating with members of the Finance team to meet deadlines.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience.
- Working knowledge of bookkeeping practices, general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and internal controls.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and financial recordkeeping.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Google Suite skills.
- Experience working with automated accounting or financial management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage interruptions, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
This is a great opportunity for a Bookkeeper or Accounting Specialist to gain experience supporting a multi-facility Finance team while developing skills in reconciliations, month-end processes, financial reporting, and general accounting operations.
