Interim JD Edwards Accounting Systems Specialist

We are seeking an experienced JD Edwards (JDE) Accounting Systems Specialist with strong accounting knowledge and fluency in German and Polish to support financial operations, accounting processes, and system-related initiatives across multiple entities and international business units.

The ideal candidate combines hands‑on expertise with JD Edwards Enterprise One
, a strong understanding of accounting and financial processes, and the ability to communicate effectively with German‑and Polish‑speaking stakeholders. This role will serve as a key resource for accounting system support, troubleshooting, process improvement, reporting, and financial close activities.

• Serve as a subject matter expert for JD Edwards accounting and financial modules
  , including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and financial reporting.
• Provide day‑to‑day functional support for JDE accounting processes, including troubleshooting system issues, investigating errors, and resolving user inquiries.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities within JD Edwards.
• Configure and maintain accounting system processes, workflows, chart of accounts, business units, account structures, and related financial configurations.
• Analyze and resolve complex accounting and system issues while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Partner with Accounting, Finance, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, IT, and business teams to identify system requirements and develop effective solutions.
• Translate business and accounting requirements into functional specifications and system enhancements.
• Support system implementations, upgrades, integrations, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and execute user acceptance testing, regression testing, and validation of JDE accounting functionality.
• Investigate data integrity issues and perform reconciliation between JD Edwards and other financial systems.
• Create and maintain financial reports, queries, documentation, process maps, and user procedures.
• Support financial reporting and management reporting requirements using JDE data and related reporting tools.
• Provide training and ongoing support to accounting and finance users, particularly German‑and Polish‑speaking teams.
• Communicate complex accounting and system concepts clearly to stakeholders at varying levels of technical expertise.
• Support internal and external audits by providing system documentation, financial data, and supporting evidence.
• Assist with SOX and internal control requirements related to financial systems and accounting processes.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, improve data quality, strengthen controls, and increase accounting efficiency.
• Lead or participate in cross‑functional projects involving JD Edwards, accounting process improvements, system integrations, and finance transformation.
• Maintain awareness of changes in accounting requirements, business processes, and system functionality that may impact financial reporting.
• Act as a liaison between finance/accounting users and technical IT teams to ensure timely resolution of system issues.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong hands‑on experience with JD Edwards Enterprise One in an accounting or financial systems environment.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger and core accounting processes.
• Experience supporting financial close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and accounting system controls.
• Professional fluency in German and Polish

• Experience with JDE Financial Management modules, including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and Expense Management.
• Experience with JDE integrations and interfaces with third‑party financial systems.
• Experience with JDE reporting tools, SQL, BI/reporting platforms, or data analysis tools.
• Experience with JDE implementations, upgrades, or system migrations.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or international accounting standards.
• Experience supporting SOX controls, internal audits, and financial system controls.
