Summary

United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County is currently seeking a Speakers Bureau Coordinator for our 2026 Community Campaign. The Speakers Bureau Coordinator supports the operations of United Way’s Speakers Bureau – a group of key volunteers that speak at workplace engagements throughout the community – by fulfilling speaker requests, building relationships with key non‑profit partner contacts, and performing critical administrative tasks.

The role begins on Tuesday, August 4th with thorough training, and ends on Thursday, December 17th with the close of the Community Campaign.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
  • Gain a working knowledge of United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County.
  • Grow skills in customer service and project management.
  • Provide weekly updates at staff meetings.
  • Coordinate and manage daily requests for speakers.
  • Develop and strengthen working relationships with agency speakers and executive directors.
  • Maintain and update Speakers Bureau lists with accurate contact information.
  • Coordinate and manage Speakers Bureau calendar.
  • Coordinate the collection of presentation feedback on a consistent basis and organize, evaluate, and share results.
  • Assist with campaign events, volunteer activities, campaign mailings, and other administrative tasks.
  • Coordinate agency speaker presentations for Campaign Coordinator Meetings.
  • Assist coordination of end‑of‑campaign Thank You’s for all volunteers.

  • Strong written and verbal skills are necessary for effective communication in all facets of our business.

  • Ability to represent United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County in a consistently professional manner.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A commitment of 40 hours per week.
  • A valid driver’s license, reliable automobile and auto insurance coverage is preferred. Mileage is reimbursed when needed.
  • One year of related work experience (performing administrative tasks in an office environment) is preferred or an internship/community service equivalent.
