Administrative Assistant I
This position requires significant interactions with internal and external stakeholders such as MATC Traffic Safety Department administrative staff, part time instructors & other college departments along with state and local government program administrators, including Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WDOT) and Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV), Southeastern Wisconsin Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Assessment Agencies. Treats all student, employee, and stakeholder information in a confidential and respectful manner.
The Administrative Assistant I, provides essential support by managing front desk operations, greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties to support the department. This includes managing schedules, handling communication, organizing documents, and assisting with day-to-day office operations. The role involves data entry, maintaining filing systems, and coordinating meetings, all while ensuring smooth workflow and efficient office management.
The Administrative Assistant I plays a key role in supporting the team's needs, ensuring a productive and organized work environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education & Experience :
- High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of six (6) months of office experience, preferably in a field related to the transportation industry.
- Selected candidate must be able to pass WDOT (WI Department of Transportation) and DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) standard screenings.
