Job Title
Develops schedules, enters data, and produces reports for the Clinical Resource Unit and the Patient Care Services departments. Is a resource for the use of the staffing/scheduling software system to ensure accuracy of the database and development of staff scheduling.
Essential Functions- Maintains accuracy of staff scheduling/position control database for all Patient Care Services personnel. Enters employee and staffing data into staff scheduling computer systems as required.
- Communicates and supports/trains new users on the use of the scheduling systems, policy, guidelines and scheduling accountability.
- Maintains time and attendance records.
- Assess and communicates staffing resource needs in partnership with the Patient Care Services leadership and helps to coordinate all-calls and staff tracking for scheduling needs.
- Performs system backups and maintenance as appropriate.
- Maintains Patient Care Manager on-call schedule.
- High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) Required
- 2+ years of experience working with personal computers, computer applications (databases, spreadsheets, word processing), preferably in a hospital/health care environment. Required and
- Prior experience in the use of a health system scheduling system preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively deal with management and other hospital staff.
- Requires ability to be detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and excellent organizational skills in order to maintain records and prioritize work necessary to meet required deadlines.
- Analytical ability to gather and interpret data and problem solve difficult scheduling issues.
- Ability to act independently, under minimal supervision.
- Adaptable to a changing environment and growing team.
