We are seeking a candidate to run a print center, handle standard printing, oversize poster printing, business card cutting, light scanning, and mail processing. This role is a contract-to-hire position for an individual who works well with a small team, can work independently on projects, brings new ideas, and is willing to cross-train and pitch in across other departments.
Responsibilities
Equipment Operation:
Operate high-volume duplicating equipment, document imaging systems, mail management systems, and binding/finishing equipment. Use shrink-wrap machines, paper cutters, hole drillers, joggers, tape machines, stackers, electric staplers, scales, calculators, fax machines, and postage meters.Digital & Administrative Tasks:
Operate MS Office, email, and document handling software to open, save, retrieve, and transfer files via established protocols. Generate digital reports for printing, imaging, and mail systems.Mail & Shipping:
Ship and receive products and supplies; sort, distribute, and handle incoming/outgoing mail and faxes; apply postage; and deliver completed jobs to designated drop-off points within and outside the site.Customer Service & Maintenance:
Answer customer questions regarding job feasibility and status. Perform daily inspections on convenience copiers, clear paper jams, ensure areas are neat and stocked, and coordinate service calls.Record Keeping:
Calculate job charges, maintain billing logs, meter logs, service logs, and supply inventories. Perform filing duties, including purging and archiving old documents.Facility Support:
Perform QC/final checks, bindery, housekeeping, reception, and call center duties. Assist with meeting/conference room setup, building occupant moves, re-lamping, light maintenance, and occasional cleaning.Schedule Flexibility:
May require periodic overtime on nights and weekends, including off-hour emergency response.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required; 1 2 years of experience in a related field (related copy job experience preferred).Skills:
Excellent customer service, organizational, mathematical, filing, and PC skills. Ability to prioritize, interpret complex instructions, and convey diversified information.Physical Demands:
Requires long periods of standing, walking (including between buildings), bending, reaching, stretching, and climbing. Must be able to lift/move items up to 50-55 lbs and push/pull machines on wheels weighing up to 700 lbs for repairs. Moderate dexterity required for keyboarding and hand tools.Driving:
Must possess a valid driver s license and minimum levels of auto insurance (driving is required post-conversion).
