What You Will Contribute:This position is responsible for owning the commercial and strategic direction of assigned product lines. The Product Manager leads market insight, customer segmentation, product vision, strategy and positioning, roadmap prioritization, and product line performance. This role translates market and customer insight into product strategy, ensuring business plans, product requirements, and go‑to‑market strategies are aligned to deliver revenue, margin, and competitive differentiation.
Responsibilities- Collect and synthesize voice‑of‑customer insight, use cases, and buying criteria to inform product strategy and requirements for assigned product lines.
- Own the 3–5 year product line vision for assigned product lines, including category goals, segment and geographic priorities, and revenue objectives; contribute to investment and portfolio planning in alignment with business leadership.
- Develop and maintain short‑ and long‑range business plans and annual operating plans consistent with market needs and corporate strategic priorities.
- Own product line Market Requirements Document (MRD) and NPD project charters; ensure strategic alignment and defined success metrics prior to gate approvals.
- Lead charter, scope, and commercial case for derivative and line extension projects; ensure strategic fit and shepherd through launch.
- Develop and maintain the product roadmap and release sequencing across the product line, aligned with corporate and product line strategy.
- Lead product performance reviews against plan (revenue, margin, mix) and drive corrective actions with accountable owners.
- Own EOL decision‑making and timing, including successor product mapping.
- Identify and support strategic market‑facing partnerships and alliances (channel, technology, co‑marketing) that expand access, capability, or credibility.
- Maintain and develop competitive intelligence on products, pricing, and industry trends to support revenue and margin strategies.
- Represent the company at technical conferences and industry events; present to advance product and category credibility.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional project teams, business teams, Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Finance to drive market success.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Engineering, or a related field required.
- 3+ years of product management experience; background in commercial and/or industrial water markets preferred.
- Experience translating customer and market requirements into product and commercial strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to develop product line strategy, including value proposition development, and multi‑year roadmap planning tied to revenue and margin objectives.
- Experience owning Market Requirements Documents and product charters within a structured NPD or stage‑gate process, including defining success metrics, aligning cross‑functional stakeholders, and governing investment decisions prior to project approval.
