Event Manager / Planner
LHH is recruiting for a full-time/hybrid Senior Events and Meetings Manager (CMP required) for one of our longstanding clients in the non-profit sector. This is your chance to join a growing, mission-driven organization with a strong culture!
Location: Greater Milwaukee - Hybrid - 2 days in office
Compensation: $80K-$95K + bonus opportunity and benefits

Role Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or similar field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in large-scale event planning with CMP certification (i.e. convention center operations, multi-hotel room blocks, vendor management, and conference planning).
- Experience working with non-profits, associations, or education sectors.
- Experience in vendor sourcing, negotiating, and contracting.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm, think clearly, and make sound decisions during crises or in the midst of rapidly shifting priorities.
- Technical expertise in audiovisual, internet, electrical, catering, security, transportation, and key meeting logistics.
- Advanced project management skills and experience with project management tools,
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, well-executed events.
- Strong supervisory skills and the ability to manage on-site staff, vendor teams, and mentor internal support team members.
- Ability to travel up to 15% annually.
