Operations Analyst role responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and improving operational performance across manufacturing, supply chain, planning, and customer fulfillment functions. Serves as a key business partner to operations leadership by transforming data into actionable insights, identifying process improvement opportunities, and supporting strategic initiatives that drive productivity, quality, delivery performance, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, planning, and customer service performance data.
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reporting.
- Monitor trends and identify root causes of performance gaps.
- Support operational reviews by providing data‑driven recommendations.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis to support leadership decision‑making.
- Analyze production throughput, labor utilization, capacity, and schedule attainment.
- Evaluate inventory performance, material availability, and inventory turns.
- Identify bottlenecks and constraints impacting production flow.
- Support Sales & Operations Planning (SOP) and capacity planning activities.
- Monitor supplier performance and material flow metrics.
- Extract, validate, and analyze data from ERP, MES, WMS, CRM, and other business systems.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting platforms.
- Build automated reporting solutions and business intelligence tools.
- Create executive‑level presentations and business cases.
- Support strategic initiatives including automation, digital transformation, ERP enhancements, and operational improvement projects.
- Track project performance against objectives, timelines, and expected benefits.
- Assist with implementation planning and post‑implementation measurement.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Manufacturing Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, operations analysis, industrial engineering, or business analytics.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment required.
- Experience in a high‑mix, low‑volume environment preferred.
Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP, Oracle Net Suite, Infor LN.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau.
- Knowledge of SQL and database reporting tools preferred.
- Strong data visualization and reporting skills.
