Project Manager - Structural Steel Erection

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager - Structural Steel Erection to oversee field operations for structural steel erection projects. This role is responsible for managing projects from award through completion, coordinating with general contractors, field crews, and internal teams to ensure safe, efficient, and successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural steel erection and a solid understanding of field operations and project controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage structural steel erection projects from kickoff through closeout
• Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, and field crews
• Communicate with general contractors, inspectors, and owners
• Develop and track project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
• Review and manage RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality requirements
• Track productivity and labor performance
• Support estimating and preconstruction as needed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in structural steel erection or related field
• Strong understanding of erection means and methods
• Experience managing field crews and subcontractors
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office
