ABOUT YOU

ARCO/Murray National Construction is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager who is passionate about the design/build construction process to join our team in our Milwaukee office location. The Project Manager will have complete responsibility for project performance, customer satisfaction, and will take projects from design to completion. Each Project Manager has full profit and performance responsibility.

- Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of a project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout.
- Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budgets.
- Participate in proposal meetings with clients to review scope of work, discuss cost-reduction and value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts and fees.
- Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout processes for all trades and vendors.
- Identify and procure material or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule.
- Collaborate with the Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work / contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plans.
- Lead preconstruction planning meetings with designers, subcontractors, and vendors to solve constructability, sequencing, and manpower issues.
- Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site once construction begins to review progress and address challenges directly with the client.
- Track and manage project performance versus budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports.
- Ensure that the construction process is enjoyable for clients, subcontractors, and vendors without compromising quality or safety.
- BS in Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of construction management or engineering design experience.
- Experience leading ground-up commercial, light industrial, multi-family, hospitality, or entertainment construction projects is preferred.
- Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
