Under the direction of the Area Manager, the Estimator will prepare cost estimates for private, municipal, state, and federal entities. The Estimator will also support operations staff with preparation of change orders, subcontracts, and material agreements and cost analysis; interpret plans and specifications; conduct pre‑estimate job site reviews; reference and update historical market and competitor research data; submit cost estimates using software such as AASHTOWare, Bid Express and Expedite Bid;

assemble purchase order and subcontractor documents; attend project setup meetings; collaborate with Project Managers to conduct cost reviews and prepare change orders; and perform other related duties as required and assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree, vocational training, certification from an accredited organization or a combination of schooling and relevant work experience.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work individually on multiple projects with varying deadlines, or in a team environment on large projects.
• Valid Driver’s License and considered insurable by insurance standards.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of HCSS software such as Heavy Bid and Heavy Job.
