About the CompanyWith over 75 years of combined experience, our Commercial Construction Company was founded in 2020 in Franklin, WI, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. What began with small handyman projects in the local community quickly evolved into residential remodels, large-scale additions, and new residential construction projects. By 2022, we had established strong relationships within the local commercial real estate community, paving the way for the company’s first commercial projects.
In late 2022 we made a full transition into a dedicated commercial general contractor. Since then, the team has successfully delivered a diverse portfolio of commercial work‑in‑cluding office and industrial tenant improvements, franchise retail and hospitality buildouts, multi‑family Cap Ex program management, and more. We’re continuing to expand with every project, client, and partnership.

The Construction Project Cost Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. The role supports preconstruction, bidding, budgeting, and value engineering efforts while working closely with project management, field operations, subcontractors, and leadership. The estimator plays a key role in setting projects up for successful execution.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare bid estimates for commercial construction projects from early concept through final bidding.
- Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
- Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor and supplier bids.
- Develop budgets, unit pricing, and bid summaries.
- Identify scope gaps, risks, and constructability issues.
- Participate in value engineering and cost optimization efforts.
- Support project handoff to project management and field teams.
- Assist with change order pricing and project cost reviews as needed.
- Perform additional project‑related tasks as required or directed by the Director of Construction / company leadership.
- 3+ years of commercial construction estimating experience (GC preferred).
- Strong understanding of commercial construction means and methods.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
- Proficiency in estimating and takeoff software (Bluebeam or similar).
- Strong Excel and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with conceptual narrative, negotiated, design‑build, or preconstruction services.
- Knowledge of local subcontractor markets and pricing.
- Experience across industrial, warehouse, office, & retail projects.
- Detail‑oriented and dependable.
- Strong communicator and team player.
- Willing & able to pick up the phone and communicate.
- Proactive, adaptable, and solution‑focused.
