We are looking for a Dragline Operator to work as part of mining operations to produce aggregate and construction materials. The Dragline Operator maneuver the dragline excavator, gather materials with the bucket, and empty them in the dump area.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Operate equipment safely and productively.
  • Manage the levers that control dragline excavation.
  • Understand the dragline’s structural, mechanical, and electrical components, as well as its capabilities and limitations.
  • Communicate plant‑site issues with the foreman and mine management while performing daily inspections.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work site, including shoveling and skid‑steer operation cleanup.
  • Assist in plant maintenance and repairs, including labor work, cutting, fabricating, and welding.
  • Follow proper safety procedures, including incident reporting.
  • Use equipment such as, but not limited to, loaders, haul trucks, skid‑steer loaders, water trucks, graders, man lifts, dozers, and excavators.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Mechanical, fabricating, and repair experience preferred.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work varied hours, early mornings, and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to tolerate variable weather and work in dirty and dusty environments.
  • Member of the appropriate trade union or willing to become a union member; union membership is not required prior to employment. HR can assist in the process.
