About Your Manager
You’ll report directly to senior leadership within the organization, working alongside experienced Project Managers and technical experts who have built their careers around roofing and building enclosure consulting. Position Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for a Building Enclosure Project Manager who enjoys a balance of technical consulting, field investigations, client interaction, and project management. The role focuses primarily on roofing and building envelope projects, overseeing projects from initial assessment through construction completion.
The position offers a mix of office and field responsibilities, including condition assessments, quality assurance observations, specification development, construction administration, and client relationship management.
Role & Responsibilities- Manage building enclosure and roofing consulting projects from proposal through project completion
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships through responsive communication and technical expertise
- Conduct field investigations, roof assessments, test openings, and building condition evaluations
- Perform quality assurance and construction observation site visits throughout active projects
- Prepare and distribute detailed field reports, photo documentation, and project updates
- Review and coordinate reports submitted by field staff and quality assurance personnel
- Develop technical specifications, repair recommendations, and construction documents for roofing and enclosure projects
- Lead pre-bid meetings, pre-construction meetings, and construction progress meetings
- Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and consultant resources
- Perform infrared moisture surveys, building envelope assessments, and related diagnostic investigations
- Assist with proposal development, project scoping, and fee preparation
- Provide oversight and direction to field observation personnel assigned to projects
- Respond to contractor and owner questions during construction and assist with project closeout activities
- 3+ years of experience in roofing consulting, building enclosure consulting, construction management, restoration consulting, or a related field
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules and budgets
- Working knowledge of roofing systems, waterproofing, building envelope assemblies, and construction practices
- Strong technical writing and report preparation skills
- Ability to conduct field inspections, climb ladders, and access rooftops safely
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic project documentation tools
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally as project demands require
- Building enclosure, roofing, or facade consulting experience
- Certified Roof Observer (RRO) or Registered Roof Consultant (RRC) credentials
- Infrared thermography experience
- Construction administration and quality assurance observation experience
- Exposure to moisture intrusion investigations and forensic evaluations
- Familiarity with specification writing and technical detailing
- Experience using project management and field reporting software
