With offices in Chicago, Milwaukee, Grand Rapids, Atlanta, Columbus, Orlando, Melbourne and Las Vegas, we have provided services for over 30 years to educational institutions, governmental agencies, healthcare systems and the private commercial sector.
We are looking for a Cost Estimator with 0-2 years’ experience to join our Milwaukee, WI office.
- Reviews drawings, specifications, narratives and supplemental information for completeness and clarity
- Prepare clear detailed quantity takeoffs for specified scopes of work to assist senior estimating team members
- Self-review of work product
- Ensure timely completion of estimating tasks including working overtime as necessary
- Obtain budget pricing from manufacturers and subcontractors
- Maintains quality service by following company standards
- Compiles questions & comments related to the project’s scope of work
- Perform day to day administrative tasks such as maintaining files
- Maintains professional & technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Good verbal, oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of computer skills including all MS Office programs
- Basic knowledge of building and construction
- Reading comprehension, critical thinking, deductive reasoning & active learning
- 0-2 Years of construction estimating experience
- Bachelor’s degree in construction related field or equivalent work experience
