Multimedia Assistants support the production of Milwaukee Athletics ESPN+ broadcasts and in-venue video board operations. In this role, you will assist the Coordinator of Video Production with the setup / teardown of equipment and fill roles needed for the execution of productions. Roles include operating a camera, the video board, instant replay, and the broadcast graphics.

Essential Functions of the Job
  • Learn and assist in ESPN+ broadcasts
    • Camera
    • Ross XPression
    • Ross Carbonite
    • New Tek 3

      Play
  • Learn and operate Daktronics software
  • Run and wrap cable
Qualifications
  • Desire to learn and grow your skills
  • Experience with essential functions preferred, but not required
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand/sit for long periods of time
Working Conditions & Environmental Factors

May be subjected to adverse weather conditions for outdoor events (rain, hot / cold temperatures)

Hours/Scheduling
  • Approximate hours per week:
    • Variable based on home event schedule (most games take place on evenings and weekends)
    • Expected to be available for a majority of home events
  • Terms of employment:
    • ESPN+ broadcasted sport seasons (soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball) Mid-August – Mid May

    • Communication is essential for the execution of our productions. Students learn how to communicate with their supervisor and other students while setting up / tearing down equipment as well as fulfilling their roles during a broadcast.
  • Students interface with various technologies used in broadcast productions. Learning the basic operations for technology such as cameras, instant replay, and video board controllers is essential in this position.
