Dental Assistant in a pediatric healthcare setting dedicated to children's health and well-being.
ResponsibilitiesAssist providers during patient care by preparing supplies and equipment, organizing for procedures, preparing patients and families, and providing chairside support. Perform independent tasks as directed to support safe and efficient oral health care.
QualificationsMinimum of 12 months dental assisting experience or successful completion of a dental assisting clinical rotation. Proficiency in 4-handed dentistry, sterilization, and x-ray techniques. Pediatric or special needs dental assisting experience, and certification preferred.
SkillsExcellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to interact respectfully with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Basic computer skills, troubleshooting, and word processing capabilities.
CertificationsBLS/Blood Life Support certification within 90 days of hire from recognized organizations.
