The Architectural Project Manager is responsible for overseeing architectural projects from initial planning through construction completion, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget targets are met. This is a full-time role based in Milwaukee, WI. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating project schedules and deliverables, managing communication among internal teams, clients, and consultants, and guiding the development of architectural and construction documents. The role involves reviewing submittals, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements.
The Architectural Project Manager also monitors project progress, identifies risks, facilitates problem-solving, and contributes to process improvements and best practices within the team.
- Project management and coordination abilities, including experience with project scheduling, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in architecture and construction drawings, with the ability to review, interpret, and coordinate detailed design and documentation.
- Experience managing submittals, RFIs, and other construction-phase documentation to support timely and accurate project delivery.
- Knowledge of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) principles and sustainable design practices, with experience contributing to certification efforts preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field; professional licensure or progress toward licensure is a plus.
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards applicable to retail and hospitality projects.
- Proficiency with relevant design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms, and project management software).
- Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with national or multi-site retail and hospitality clients is beneficial.
