ACADEMIC HEMATOPATHOLOGIST Director of Pediatric Hematology, Flow Cytometry, and Coagulation Laboratories
MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN (USA).
The Division of Pediatric Pathology at Children’s Wisconsin (CW), within the Department of Pathology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), is seeking a full-time hematopathologist to join our subspecialized team in Milwaukee, WI and to serve as the Director of Pediatric Hematology, Flow Cytometry, and Coagulation Laboratories. This position includes a full-time faculty appointment at a rank and salary commensurate with experience and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to nationally recognized pediatric care, cutting-edge research, and innovative education in an actively growing academic medical center.
Candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Wisconsin medical license and board-certified or board-eligible in Hematopathology.
- Join a team of eight pediatric specialists with the unique opportunity for cross-collaboration with five hematopathologists within MCW’s Department of Pathology & Froedtert Theda Care Health System.
- Experience a diverse case mix in pediatric hematopathology, including bone marrows, lymph nodes, flow cytometry, and coagulation testing, with shared call and protected academic/administrative time. Additional opportunities in adult hematopathology, peds surgical pathology, and research are available.
- Teach and mentor AP/CP residents and hematopathology, pediatric pathology, and other pediatric specialty fellows.
- Thrive in a pediatric-centered environment with the multisite CW Laboratories, which perform over one million tests annually, including over 250 bone marrows. In partnership with our Hem Onc team, diagnose 50-80 new leukemias and/or lymphomas annually.
