Overview
Assistant Professor, Tenure-Track (Department of Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology) at Marquette University. Position beginning August 2026. The department seeks candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach in on-campus master’s programs in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling. The department is within the College of Education and offers CACREP-accredited on-campus master’s programs, a CACREP-accredited online Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, and an APA-accredited doctoral program in Counseling Psychology.

Responsibilities- Develop an independent research program with the potential for extramural funding.
- Graduate teaching primarily in CACREP-accredited master’s programs in Clinical Mental Health or School Counseling.
- Research mentorship of graduate students.
- Advising graduate students and serving on department, college and university committees.
- Graduation from an accredited institution with a doctoral degree in Counselor Education with knowledge in clinical mental health or school counseling. ABD candidates will be considered with the expectation that the PhD will be completed by August 2026.
- Ability to teach core knowledge and skills for clinical mental health or school counseling.
- Ability to develop and sustain a line of research that aligns with counseling.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate well with students and colleagues.

- A research agenda focused on marginalized communities and/or cultural diversity is highly valued by the department.
