All disciplines in business will be considered (e.g., Accounting, Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Finance, Management, Marketing, etc.). The candidate will also contribute to student advising, mentoring, and recruiting.
The ability to contribute to curricular development, course scheduling, departmental budget planning, and assessment will be valued. Typical full-time teaching load for the professor track is 24 credits per year, while appointments in the lecturer track are 30 credits per year. Candidates interested in a part-time faculty role will be considered as well.
The position requires a master's degree; a doctorate degree is preferred. Coursework at the master's or doctoral level in Business or a related discipline is required, and experience in supervising students and/or teaching in higher education is preferred. A record of peer-reviewed scholarly work in Business or a related field is preferred.
Candidates for a full-time called faculty position must be active members of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), the Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS), or another confessional Lutheran denomination in fellowship with the WELS. Individuals are encouraged to nominate a qualified WELS/ELS individual using the brief nomination form. You may contact the Office of the Provost (joni.panitzke) regarding questions on the call process.
Individuals may also self-nominate for this position.
Qualified candidates should send a cover letter discussing background, interests, and teaching philosophy in the context of a confessional Lutheran liberal arts college; curriculum vitae; and three letters of recommendation, including one letter from their pastor, discussing personal qualities via email to human.resources. Review of nominees will continue until a divine call has been issued and accepted and the position is filled.
