Duties and Responsibilities
  • Handle the day‑to‑day responsibilities of the continuing education program, including designing and implementing needs assessment, planning overall schedule and individual courses, working with co‑sponsors and companies to obtain financial support, scouting/negotiating with speakers, communicating CERP/university requirements for speakers, overseeing paperwork and details for program preparation (e.g., securing rooms/materials), overseeing involvement in ACDE webinar series, and staffing CE events.
  • Maintain the CE budget, monitoring course financial performance, honoraria, and sponsor ships.
  • Work with and staff the CE Committee; maintain regular communication and meetings, encourage involvement, scouting, and new membership in the committee.
  • Assure compliance with ADA CERP standards; maintain required documentation; update and/or establish CE policies, procedures, and forms; prepare and submit CERP renewal as required.
  • Work with the Faculty Development Committee and other units to provide internal CE for faculty and assist with individualized CE programs as required by licensing agencies.
  • Assist with alumni programs as needed.
Required Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask; customer‑service orientation.
  • Good organizational and problem‑solving skills, flexibility, attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Must be able to work some early mornings, late evenings, occasional weekends, and some travel.
Preferred Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of the dental field.
  • Continuing education experience and familiarity with ADA CERP.
