Overview

Summary:

Work closely with Assistant Dean of Academic and Curricular Affairs to coordinate and execute program activities with a high degree of independence, with a focus on academic assessment, accreditation, compliance, database management, and data-informed decision-making. Serve as a subject-matter expert in assessment and accreditation processes, supporting continuous quality improvement through accurate data collection, analysis, reporting, and dissemination.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Interprets data results of increasing complexity using techniques ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining.
  • Develops data collection, validation, and analysis tools to meet project requirements.
  • Reviews data for consistency, accuracy, and quality.
  • Executes institutional or program activities with a high degree of independence (e.g., educational events, training, learner recruitment/interviews, orientation, schedules, and graduation).
  • Maintains proficiency in accreditation, board and/or institutional requirements. Manages activities related to these requirements to ensure full compliance with a high degree of independence.
  • Guides the Designated Institutional Official, Program Director, Clerkship Director, Department Chair and/or other leaders on issues related to accreditation requirements from agencies, national boards, and affiliated institutions.
  • Serves as primary liaison with faculty, administration, other departments, affiliated institutions, outside institutions and national organizations.
  • Develops and maintains database(s) to track, schedule and record activities related to the institution, program(s) and/or learners.
  • Provides expert information, support and problem solving on a wide range of issues for leaders, faculty, staff and learners.
  • Coordinates recruitment of preceptors, instructors and speakers.
  • Designs and creates brochures, flyers, handbooks and other educational materials.
  • Coordinates assessment and evaluation activities with a high degree of independence.
  • Monitors programmatic budgets. Leads or oversees the work of support staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of technical, business, consultation, project management, and cultural awareness.

  • Knowledge of academic assessment, accreditation, and compliance processes within higher education or health professions education.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into clear, actionable reports.
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and validate data collection tools, databases, and reporting structures.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data quality assurance, including consistency, accuracy, and documentation standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of complex formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and data analysis functions to support assessment, reporting, and accreditation activities.
  • Excellent communication and consultation skills, with the ability to guide faculty and administrators on assessment and accreditation requirements.
  • High level of independence, organization, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to build trust and effective working relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.

Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum

Required Experience:

5 years of related experience

Preferred Education: Masters in Education

Preferred Experience: Experience supporting academic assessment, program evaluation, and accreditation activities in higher education or health professions education, including use of assessment or accreditation systems, survey platforms, and institutional reporting tools. Experience analyzing and reporting academic, programmatic, or outcomes data, including survey results, to support continuous quality improvement, accreditation, and compliance efforts.
