School Psychologist FTE

Description:

The school psychologist provides a program of services geared to assisting in the educational process of the children who are enrolled in the district. The school psychologist will be considered a part of the district administrative team for programs in areas of psychological testing, staff development, supervision, and resource development. The school psychologist is to coordinate evaluations, provide diagnostic assessment, carry on psychological consultation, intervention, research, and assist in program planning for students in alignment with our Multi Level System of Supports (MLSSS).

• Current, or ability to obtain, Wisconsin DPI license in School Psychologist 7062
• Knowledge of Multi Level System of Supports (MLSS)
• Ability to provide individual and/or small group social and emotional interventions
• Training in trauma-informed care including verbal de-escalation and nonviolent crisis intervention (NVCI or similar)
• Experience with Restorative Practices
• Ability to work with families and students with diverse backgrounds and experiences to improve school performance
