We are currently seeking Lead Teachers and Assistant Teachers to join our team. Both roles are essential to creating a positive, developmentally appropriate learning environment for our students.

Lead Teacher Responsibilities
  • Curriculum & Planning: Develop and implement an effective child development program that meets the needs of children in your classroom, ensuring activities are engaging, age-appropriate, and aligned with developmental milestones.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, organized, and inviting classroom, complying with all state licensing regulations and school policies.
  • Child Guidance: Provide nurturing and positive guidance to help children build self-help and social-emotional skills.
  • Parent Communication: Establish regular, professional communication with parents, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and classroom activities.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and guide assistant teachers, ensuring they understand daily schedules, lesson plans, and the overall classroom approach.
  • Safety & Well-being: Proactively ensure the safety and physical well-being of all children in your care.
  • Professional Development: Attend staff meetings and ongoing training to stay current with best practices in child development and early childhood education.
  • Reporting: Collaborate with the Center Director on classroom needs, student progress, and any concerns.
  • Reliability: Arrive on time and prepared for each scheduled shift.
Assistant Teacher Responsibilities
  • Classroom Support: Assist the Lead Teacher with daily activities, lessons, and routines, ensuring they are carried out promptly, hygienically, and consistently.
  • Student Supervision: Supervise children to maintain safety and support their physical well-being, both in the classroom and on the playground.
  • Positive Environment: Help create a pleasant, engaging, and inclusive learning environment; encourage children to explore and learn through play.
  • Parent Interaction: Communicate with parents in a warm, professional manner, under the guidance of the Lead Teacher and Director.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with the Lead Teacher and other staff to foster a cooperative team environment.
  • Professionalism: Maintain confidentiality of all student information, uphold a professional appearance, and arrive consistently and promptly.
  • Flexibility: Cover the classroom during the Lead Teacher’s break and perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Teacher or Director.
  • Compliance: Adhere to state licensing regulations and center policies.
Qualifications & Requirements (for both roles)
  • Age: Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Education: High school diploma preferred (required for Lead Teacher), or equivalent.
  • Experience:
  • Lead Teacher:
    Prior experience in an early childhood or preschool setting preferred.
  • Assistant Teacher:
    Minimal to no experience required; willingness to learn.
  • Skills:
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Understanding of child development principles.
  • Ability to work well with colleagues, children, and parents.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Certifications: Infant/Child CPR and First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
  • Background Check: Must clear a full background check.
