Position Overview
The University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee is hiring a Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Occupational Therapy. The selected candidate will serve as core instructional faculty in the entry‑level MSOT and post‑professional OTD degree programs within the Occupational Therapy Science and Technology programs.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and lead courses in the MSOT and OTD programs (approximately 80% of the time).
- Participate in curricular design and program development.
- Engage in research and scholarship activities (about 10% of the time).
- Mentor and advise students in academic and clinical settings.
- Provide service to the program, school, and profession (about 10% of the time).
- Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field (e.g., OTD, PhD, EdD) by time of hire.
- Current Wisconsin‑licensed Occupational Therapist or eligible for state licensure.
- At least 2 years of experience in a clinical practice setting.
- Preferred: 5+ years of clinical practice experience, preferably in adult physical rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated leadership in academia or clinical practice.
- Prior instructional experience as a fieldwork educator and/or academic educator.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team member.
- Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification or 3+ years of experience with assistive technology in professional practice.
Annual salary range: $79,000 – $93,000 (dependent on the level hired: Clinical Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor). Final salary offer will be contingent upon degree, experience, and demonstrated knowledge and skills.
