SUMMARYThe position of Campus Minister/Network Catholic Identity Coordinator role serves the Catholic Church’s evangelical mission of education hony School (Pre‑school through 12th grade) in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. The Campus Minister/Network Catholic Identity Coordinator ensures that the mission of St. Anthony Parish and School is communicated effectively and integrated into all aspects of the organization. This position collaborates with the Pastor, President, and all other members of the leadership team to provide strategic planning in areas related to mission, core values, ethics, Catholic identity, and spiritual formation.
ESSENTIALDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES – NETWORK LEVEL
- Ensures that the Catholic identity of the school is developed, evaluated, and promoted among faculty, students, and parents in accordance with the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools.
- In collaboration with the President, provides the overall faith‑based leadership to the school community in relation to the school vision, mission, and philosophy.
- With the campus Chief Academic Officer, principals, and early childhood education center director, develop a comprehensive Catholic Identity and Faith Formation multi‑year program that reflects a continuum of learning from pre‑school through high school in alignment with accreditation recommendations.
- Author a monthly newsletter that highlights areas of faith formation within the SAS community, reflects on the liturgical season, and connects Parish and School activities.
- Plans professional development for SAS in terms of faculty retreats, graduate programs, workshops, accreditation, and Sustaining the Mission to ensure time for spiritual reflection and religious growth, and maintaining compliance with the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
- Coordinate and execute the annual Archdiocesan fundraiser “Catholic Souls for Education” walk.
- Oversee sacramental programs.
- All other tasks as assigned by the Pastor, Chief Academic Officer, and President.
- Model and support the school’s prayer life by offering prayers at events/gatherings as well as providing prayers (morning, dismissal, class periods).
- Coordinate Mass schedule to include Holy Days & special Catholic Feast Days.
- Prepare All‑School Liturgies, including student ministers, worship aides, and environment (middle school and high school).
- Coordinate with staff and students on the selection and preparation of music (middle school and high school).
- Prepare Faculty Liturgies as needed.
- Oversee the selection of Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion and Lectors.
- Prepare the school environment and chapel for Liturgical Seasons.
- Coordinate social ministry opportunities through Theology classes.
- Serve as liaison between Archdiocese, area parishes, and school community.
- Provide pastoral care to students and families as needed.
- Coordinate Campus Ministry calendar for the entire school year.
- Practicing Catholic in good standing.
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in theology, spirituality, behavioral science or related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Understanding of the Catholic Church: its history, tradition, and mission.
- Ability to work in collaboration with others and empower others in ministry.
- Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with school administrators, faculty, staff, parents, and students.
- Be responsive to the needs of the school, its families, and students, thereby realizing work may occur outside normal school hours and on weekends.
