Position Overview

Experiential Learning Specialist – regular academic staff position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching (37.5%) – delivers for-credit experiential learning coursework and revises curriculum.
  • Field Placement Coordination (25%) – receives inquiries and project proposals, supports students, manages learning agreements and placement database.
  • Experiential Learning Facilitation & Evaluation (15%) – develops workshops, communicates with students, serves as point of contact for placement issues, and conducts evaluation surveys.
  • External Relationship Cultivation & Management (20%) – conducts outreach, manages agreements, builds placement network, provides content for preceptor newsletter and event planning.
  • Other Duties (2.5%) – performs ad‑hoc tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in public health, education, student affairs, higher education administration, or a closely related field.
  • Experience coordinating or supporting experiential learning, internships, practica, or community‑based programs.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and community partners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a school or college of public health or health sciences setting.
  • Experience building and sustaining partnerships with public health agencies, nonprofits, or healthcare organizations.
  • Experience with program assessment, data tracking, or experiential learning management systems.
Compensation

$60,000 (commensurate with education and experience)
