Position Description
Rocketship Public Schools is looking for joyful, driven, and student centered Elementary Teachers to join our school community. Our elementary teachers specialize in either Humanities or STEM and help students build the academic skills, confidence, curiosity, and love of learning they need to thrive.
As an Elementary Teacher, you will lead a classroom where students feel safe, known, challenged, and celebrated. You will use strong instruction, student data, classroom culture, and family partnership to help every Rocketeer grow.
At Rocketship, teachers are not expected to do this work alone. You will receive regular coaching, classroom feedback, professional development, planning support, and collaboration with teammates and school leaders. We are looking for educators who want to grow their craft, make a meaningful impact, and be part of a team that believes deeply in children and families.
This position reports to the Principal or Assistant Principal.
What You Will Do- Create a classroom where students feel safe, respected, included, and excited to learn
- Teach engaging and rigorous lessons using Rocketship curriculum and instructional resources
- Use student data to plan instruction, monitor progress, and respond to student needs
- Build strong classroom routines and a positive culture that supports learning
- Adjust instruction to support diverse learners and help every student access grade level content
- Participate in regular coaching, professional development, and team collaboration
- Partner with families through home visits, regular communication, progress updates, and school events
- Work with school leaders, teammates, special education staff, and wellness partners to support the whole child
Rocketship teachers build classrooms where students are loved, challenged, and supported. In this role, you will create a learning environment where students know what is expected, feel proud of their growth, and are excited to take academic risks.
You will teach either Humanities or STEM and use lesson planning, student data, classroom routines, and strong relationships to help students make meaningful academic progress.
You will also work closely with school leaders and instructional coaches who provide feedback and support to help you continue growing as an educator.

As a Rocketship teacher, you will build strong relationships with families through annual home visits, regular communication, parent meetings, school events, and progress updates. These relationships help create a warm school culture and a strong support system for every Rocketeer.

Teachers receive regular feedback, participate in professional development, and work closely with school leaders and teammates to strengthen instruction and classroom culture.
