Undergraduate International Admissions Coordinator
Milwaukee, WI – Full Time – Regular – Academic Staff
OverviewThe Undergraduate International Admissions Coordinator is a member of the International Admissions team in the Center for International Education. This position is responsible for all support required to guide undergraduate international applicants from the application to their arrival on campus.
Key Responsibilities- Review applications, make admission decisions, maintain records, and communicate with admitted students before they arrive on campus.
- Participate in recruitment activities by providing personalized customer service, developing relationships with key stakeholders, hosting visitors on campus, and contributing to the development of web‑based marketing materials.
- Serve as a liaison for key partners on campus and in the community regarding international student admission issues.
- Schedule logistics and secure resources for events to promote the institution.
- Receive, evaluate, and process student applications according to established policies and procedures.
- Implement policies and procedures for the processing of international applications in alignment with the international recruitment strategic plan.
- Develop international recruitment‑focused strategic planning initiatives and objectives.
- Deliver directed admissions program messaging to internal and external audiences.
- Create targeted communication plans and materials based on established goals.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Identify, promote, and maintain internal and external partnerships focusing on international student outreach, recruitment, and admission.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience working in an academic environment and/or university admissions process.
- Computer skills using PC platforms and databases.
- Experience with university databases.
- Experience communicating with people whose native language is not English or are from other cultural backgrounds.
- Experience with foreign credential evaluation.
- Experience with university admissions.
- Strong ability to create written communication that is informative and clear (as demonstrated in cover letter and resume).
- Experience using and/or developing in Slate.
$49,900 - $53,000 annually, salary determined by finalist’s experience, training, education, and equity‑based factors.
